Are you ready for WordPress 3.2? The next version of the popular blogging software is due to be released soon and has higher minimum requirements than previous versions, including:
- PHP 5.2.4
- MySQL 5.0
- Internet Explorer 7 (if you’re using IE)
Any web host worth their salt will be running at least these versions (even Debian Lenny has PHP 5.2.6 and MySQL 5.0), but if your host is still behind then it’s probably time to look at migrating. Alternatively, if you don’t use any customised themes or plugins, you might want to look at moving to WordPress.com, which has the benefit of automatically updating the software for you.
