As of this week I’ve started renting a desk in MadLab, an event space in central Manchester which I’ve visited many times as it hosts a number of community groups. Although I don’t strictly need a desk as I can work from home, I’ve found that I can get more project-based work done (e.g. software development for the startup I’m running), plus it gets me out of the house. I’m also hoping that being around and about the city centre will also make meetings and networking easier.
